In September and October we have TWO WEEKS (September 26 – October 7) for our Spring Intensives.

You can take a whole Elementary Level, brush up on your skills with a Conversation Course, or cook up a storm in our Arepa & Empanada Cooking Class!

First Level!

• Elementary 1 Intensive - For absolute beginners. 5 x 3-hour classes every second weekday for two weeks. Make the fastest possible start to your Spanish and then join an Elementary 2 group in Term 4!
• Elementary 2 Intensive - For students who have already done Elementary 1 and want to accelerate their learning. 5 x 3-hour classes every second weekday for two weeks. Speed through Elementary 2 and join an Elementary 3 group in Term 4!

BEGINNER 4.5-HR CONVERSATION

Beginner Conversation (4.5-hr) - Consolidate topics of Elementary 1. Good if you’ve learned some Spanish informally (through traveling/apps/friends) or if you’ve completed Elementary 1 and need some revision/practice.

Practice talking about yourself and others, masculine and feminine nouns and adjectives, basic present tense verbs and more. The course consists of 3 x 1.5hr classes.

8-HR CONVERSATION COURSES

Elementary Conversation A1 (8-hr) – Reviews topics studied up to and including Elementary 4. Suitable for students from Elementary 3 to Lower Intermediate 2

Practise present tense verbs, vocab for introductions, getting to know people, describing things, talking about friends/family, daily routines, ordering food, likes/dislikes and much more! You'll have 4 x 2-hr classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays (CBD) or Mondays and Wednesdays (Northcote and Online).

Intermediate Conversation A2-B1 (8-hr) – Reviews topics studied up to and including Upper Intermediate 2. Suitable for Lower Intermediate 3 to Upper Intermediate 2 levels

Lots of practice with past tenses, direct/indirect object pronouns, reflexive verbs, gustar, tener que, ir a, estar + continuous, and the future tense. You'll have 4 x 2-hr classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays (CBD) or Mondays and Wednesdays (Northcote).

Advanced Conversation (8hr) (B1-B2) – Suitable for students who have completed Upper Intermediate 3 and beyond

Practice combining past tenses, using the present subjunctive, presenting opinions and arguments, talking about the future and lots more! You'll have 4 x 2-hr classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays (CBD) or Mondays and Wednesdays (Northcote).

Empanada & Arepa Cooking Class: (A1 and above)

Cook and talk along with Paula as she teaches you the tips and tricks to recreate sensational arepas and empanadas at home. You'll learn about the doughs, fillings, cooking methods and salsas that can accompany them. Practise using new cooking vocabulary, and widen your knowledge of Hispanic ingredients!
